Get Educated: Web Research using Copernic

Conducting serious research on the Web is, at best, a headache and, at worst, an exercise in frustration. Have you ever found a resource at one search engine and then misplaced it while surfing elsewhere? How about losing track of all those great bookmarks? If you have suffered these problems, then you will be interested in a free and powerful search assistance program called Copernic.

Get Educated: Using Copernic

Copernic is a stand-alone search program that searches many other search engines, removes duplicates and, more importantly, saves those searches. It also integrates with Netscape or Internet Explorer by producing a "surf-able" page of results. You can choose which search engines to have Copernic use from a list of popular choices, including Google, Lycos, AltaVista, and Hotbot. Better yet, search results can be verified first so you won't find yourself at any dead links.

This method of searching would suit groups working online, for example, as a search result Web page could be saved and then attached to an e-mail message. Visit Copernic to find out more or to download their free version (powerful enough for me, but you may wish to explore their "plus" or "pro" versions).
