Get Educated: Printing a Selection of Text on the Web

Often, users wish to print only a section of the text found on a Web page. Sending large volumes of text and graphics can jam network printers or use up valuable ink. In Internet Explorer 5.X, this can be done easily using a right mouse click and a print dialogue. If you are using another browser, you can use a copy and paste command to accomplish the same result.

Printing a selection: Here's How

In Internet Explorer 5.X, first highlight the text you wish to print. Then, right click and choose "print". A dialogue box will open with three choices: "All," "Pages," or "Selection." Choose "Selection" and only the highlighted text will print. In other browsers, highlight the text, choose "copy," and then "paste" into your word processor. From there, print only the selected text, or add more selections until you have the text you wish to print.
