Basic or Intermediate
Cruise 'n' Learn
Programs
Cruise 'n' Learn
programs normally are operated with four or more persons on a 30 to
36 foot yacht for economic reasons. Sharing the learning experience
can be frustrating for a couple who want to learn how to operate a
vessel as a couple rather than as a member of a larger crew.
Freestyle's courses
are designed to accommodate couples at prices that are competitive
with per person fees shared by larger groups.
Please bring shoes with
light colored soft soles
for use on board our vessels

6 Day Cruise 'n' Learn sailing course for Couples
(Generally you would board on Sunday, return on Friday, however,
other dates are available by arrangement)
Freestyle's
basic course is designed to accommodate
couples who would prefer not to share their learning experience with
strangers. This format suits those who want to learn how to cruise as
a couple, before bareboat chartering, buying their own sailboat
or venturing offshore.
We offer ISPA
and CYA based
programs. You may enroll in the sailing program of your choice.
Enjoy the fun and
adventure of sailing, in comfort and safety, aboard our 30 foot
sloop rigged sailing yacht.

The sailing vessel used
for our cruise n learn programs is a modern fin keel sloop with accommodations
for up to five people. Operating with two people plus the
instructor offers a more reasonable standard of comfort on this size
of vessel.
All courses
offered by Freestyle are designed to meet either ISPA or CYA
standards. Successful completion of your course would lead to
certification at the appropriate level of the program that you
participate in.
Besides being
CYA and ISPA certified, our instructors have many years of
coastal and offshore cruising experience. One is also an
experienced boat builder who is able and willing to assist with
prospective boat purchases
